Chances are at least once in your life you've picked up Hot Wheels toy while growing up. And in some cases, Hot Wheels no doubt helped fuel a lifelong passion for cars. Now, the iconic Mattel toys we all rolled across the floor or over the signature orange tracks are being brought to life in a short action film entitled the "World's Best Driver" directed by Mike "Mouse" McCoy. The movie features an eclectic mix of sport cars, custom rods, and exotics, including the amazing twin-turbo V8 powered McLaren 12C supercar and the Hot Wheels Chevy Camaro.
Unlike many movies, the characters in the film were played by real professional drivers, including drift ace Tyler McQuarrie, NASCAR star Danica Patrick, and racing legend Mario Andretti.
In the 22-minute film, eight drivers are hand-picked to pilot various vehicles at the Hot Wheels Test Facility. The race is comprised of seven different zones, each with a different terrain, and the drivers are separated into two-person teams classified by color Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue colors. In the end though, only one driver takes home the elusive title of World's Best Driver.
