My xray

Over the weekend I went to a magical place I have visited only once before in my life, the emergency room.

It all started on a beautiful Saturday morning when we drove up to the mountains to go snowboarding. I have never snowboarded before and was eager to learn, maybe a little too eager. My first run I fell a couple of times, nothing major, I was just getting a feel for the board. On my second run I felt a little bit more confident. I started to carve with both edges. I got excited and felt like I was able to control the board.  It was then that the double black diamond bunny slope reared its ugly teeth and grabbed the front edge of my board throwing me forwards. My shoulder hit the ground and I heard something pop. A sharp pain ran up and down my body and it was at that moment I realized I wasn't getting up from this one. I proceeded to the first aid station where they wrapped my arm in gauze and gave me a bag of ice. They asked me a ton of unimportant questions and then said it would be wise to go to the emergency room; WTF that was the last place I wanted to go. I was at the ER for a good hour and a half, mostly waiting around. They took two x-rays the doc told me I tore my AC joint. I don't know what that is but let me tell you it doesn't feel good.
