Shady Mechanics

Do Mechanics sign an "I’ll vow to be shady" agreement with their hiring papers?

I was reading a couple of peoples woes and incidents on Super Streets Forums about getting ripped off by shops and mechanics and I have to tell you I feel for you. A little while back, hmmmm, more like four years back, I brought my car to a local mechanic that my parents trusted to get a small oil leak fixed. It was leaking from my oil pressure sensor where I had it teed off for my turbo’s oil feed line. I brought it in thinking it wouldn’t take to long for them to fix. I waited about a week before I started calling. I continued to call every other day for almost three weeks. Every time I spoke to them they would give me a B.S answer, something about waiting for a part. Well back then I was a little more naive and in general, less knowledgeable about cars.  Close to two months later I get my car back. Assuming it was fixed I didn’t even look to see what they did;  I was a little more concerned about the three huge chunks  missing from my bumper.

On to the point of the story.

About two months ago I took off my turbo, which means I took my oil feed line off also. Upon inspection, I noticed that the shop I took my car to not only had my car for close to three months, not only did they ruin my back bumper, but they also didn’t do a *** thing with my oil leak. There was no part there that they said they were going to install. Being that it is now four years later, I feel like calling them and throwing a hissy fit wouldn’t do much good, but part of me still feels raped.
